Director of Security Services
Siva joined SPIguard in Dec 2009 as Director. He is responsible for business operations, which includes building/managing the consulting team, managing services and delivery for clients. He is focused on growing the company’s revenues and expanding its position as a leading provider of security and PCI compliance services.
He previously co-founded a security services company, based in San Jose, California in 2005 and managed Professional Services. Since 2001, he has worked with major corporations as a consultant performing penetration tests, vulnerability assessments and conducting training.
Siva’s engagements have involved everything from performing penetration testing and PCI/PA DSS assessments all way to creating and implementing secure application development plans. He has developed training courses on building secure web applications and delivered them. He also designed and developed an LMS that was used to deliver the online versions of the courses.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and an IBM Certified Specialist (IBM Rational AppScan). He is also a PCI-QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) and a PA-QSA, certified by the PCI-SSC (Payment Card Industry – Security Standards Council).
Before getting into information security, he developed client/server and web applications for about 5 years. He has a personal website, Maravis.com, where he blogs about and writes articles on information security issues.
